RCIA (Adults) Requirements

Catechumens

• Adults 18 years old or older, without prior receiving any Sacrament, are encouraged to enroll in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) Process.
• It will take two years of formation and reflection on the Catholic Faith in order to get ready to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist.
• The candidate is expected to attend all the sessions scheduled for his/her formation.
• Provide a copy of the candidate’s Birth Certificate.



Baptized Persons that want to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church

• Non-Catholic persons who are already baptized, "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit," in another Christian denomination and want to profess the Catholic Faith, are asked to register for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.
• Attendance at all scheduled sessions is expected, in order to reflect on the teachings of the Catholic Church and embrace the Catholic Faith with responsibility.
• Provide a copy of the proof of your Baptism in another Christian denomination.

Catecúmenos

• Adultos mayores de 18 años, sin Sacramentos de Iniciación Cristiana, deberán registrarse en el Proceso de Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos (RCIA)
• Tomará dos años de formación en la Fe para recibir los Sacramentos de Bautismo, Confirmación y Eucaristía.
• Se espera que el candidato atienda a las sesiones agendadas para su formación.
• Proveer COPIA del Acta de Nacimiento del candidato.

Personas Bautizadas en otros credos religiosos que desean entrar en Comunión con la Iglesia Católica

• Personas no católicas que ya están bautizadas en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo, y que desean profesar la FE católica, necesitaran registrarse para iniciar el proceso del Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos (RCIA).
• Se espera su presencia en todas las sesiones agendadas para reflexionar sobre las enseñanzas de la Iglesia Católica, y así abrazar la Fe con responsabilidad.
• Proveer COPIA de su comprobante de bautismo.
