Anointing of the Sick

As a community, we celebrate Holy Mass with the Anointing of the Sick on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. Updated information is available in our parish calendar. The anointing can also be requested by appointment with the pastor.

The Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. A careful judgment about the serious nature of the illness is sufficient. Baptized members of the Christian faithful, who have reached the age of reason (at least 7 years of age) and who begin to be in danger due to sickness or old age, may receive the sacrament of the anointing. Participation in the rite is encouraged broadly.
