Confirmation Requirements
CANDIDATES
- The candidate is expected to have received the Sacraments of Baptism and the Eucharist.
- Candidates are expected to attend the 1st Level Confirmation sessions, before taking the 2nd Level Confirmation sessions.
- The candidate must be enrolled in this parish's Faith Formation Program by the first day of the scheduled sessions.
- Candidates for Confirmation are expected to be, at least, in the 9th Grade.
- Attend most of the sessions scheduled for the year.
- Attend Sunday Mass, as well as on Holy Days of Obligation.
- Participate at all Reflection Days (2 Retreats), organized for their level.
PARENTS
- Support our Faith Formation Program with your daily prayers, and with the specified donation per child. For further information, or if you are having financial difficulties, please talk to Sr. Angie.
- Participate in the scheduled parents’ meetings in order to organize everything concerning the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
- Participate in the Second Reflection Day (2nd Retreat Day) for candidates.
- Provide a copy of the candidate’s Baptismal Certificate, when you register him/her for the second year of the child's Confirmation preparations process.
SPONSORS
- Sponsors are expected to attend the Second Reflection Day (2nd Retreat Day), along with their Candidate and his/her parents.
- Sponsors are expected to be married by a Catholic priest, and should bring a copy of the proof of their marriage.
- When the Sponsor is a single person, please bring a copy of his/her proof of receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
- Sponsors, please provide a letter of "good standing" from your parish's Pastor.
Requisitos Confirmación
CANDIDATOS
- El candidato debe haber recibido los sacramentos de Bautismo y Eucaristía (Comunión).
- El candidato asistirá a las sesiones del nivel de Pre-Confirmación o Confirmación I antes de cursar el nivel de Confirmación II.
- Estar inscrito en el Programa de Formación en la Fe al momento de iniciar el proceso para la Confirmación.
- Para iniciar este proceso, el candidato debe estar en el nivel de 9º. Grado de educación escolar.
- Participar de todas las sesiones agendadas para el curso.
- Participar en misa todos los domingos y días de precepto (que obligan)
- Participar en los días de Reflexión (2 retiros) organizados para ellos.
PADRES DE FAMILIA
- Apoyar el programa de Formación en la Fe con su oración diaria y con un donativo, por candidato. Si tiene dificultades financieras, por favor hable con hermana Angie.
- Atender a todas las reuniones que se indiquen para organizar todo lo concerniente a la celebración del Sacramento de la Confirmación.
- Support the Catechists of Faith Formation in their efforts to help the candidates grow and practice their faith.
- Colaborar con los catequistas en el progreso de los jóvenes respecto al crecimiento y vivencia de la fe.
- Participar en el segundo día de retiro de los jóvenes junto con el padrino(a) agendado para ellos.
- Proporcionar COPIA del CERTIFICADO de BAUTISMO del candidato al inscribirlo(a) al SEGUNDO AÑO del proceso de Confirmación.
PADRINOS
- Asistir al Segundo día de Reflexión (día de Retiro) junto con el candidato y sus papás.
- Si los padrinos son pareja, necesitan estar casados por la iglesia católica.
- Presentar copia de su Certificado de Matrimonio por la iglesia.
- Si los padrinos son solteros, sin compromiso alguno, necesitan presentar copia del Certificado de confirmación.
